Review: Dear Emily by Trudy Stiles

reviewI really didn't know what to expect when I started reading Dear Emily. What I thought was going to be a simple story turned out to be this complex story leading up to this insanely bittersweet ending. Each chapter flip flops between the two main characters, past and present. Carly and Tabitha and from two very different backgrounds but both have some terribly horrific things happen to them. I felt for these characters every step of the way. I kept wondering what happened to Carly to bring them to today, to seeking an adoption. With each chapter, I felt like this could have the potential to shatter me into pieces. I get to 80% and I have to stop myself. It hurts to get closer to the end because someone will be left with a broken heart...including me. I gave it a week and decided to pick it up again. I can do this. I have to know what happens. AGH just so many things that no one should ever have to endure. It hits me like a sucker punch to the gut. Man, contemporary is so hard to read. It feels so real because this stuff does happen. It was tragically beautiful, raw and unforgiving. My emotions just cant take tall of this at once. I'm going to go hug my little boy now :::sniffles:::

I’m Trudy Stiles and am a New Adult author, avid reader, business professional, mom and wife.

My first book “Dear Emily” will soon be released!

My first career as a marketing professional was wonderful for almost 20 years. I’ve since stepped out of the concrete jungle and have happily embarked on the next chapter of my life.

Trudy Stiles is a pen name that some of my very close friends will understand and get a kick out of!I’ve always been an avid reader and frequently escape into the fictional worlds of the many characters that I’ve come to love. Well now I have some fictional characters in my head dying to get out!

The first story is called “Dear Emily” and will begin the “Forever Family” series. How many stories there are is yet to be determined. Be sure to keep visiting my page/blog for updates, giveaways and more!
